The Bando
Mission & Vision

THE BANDO in Atlanta, GA, isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a vibe, a movement, and a whole lot of heart. We’re Black-owned, unapologetically creative, and here to connect the community through food, art, and culture.
Founded by educators Terry Bartholomew and Rico Burk, THE BANDO is on a mission to give back, inspire, and mentor. It’s about creating space for the youth, providing second chances, and feeding both stomachs and souls. We’re out here making sure no one gets left behind.
Step inside, and you’re hit with the dopest blend of art and history. Our restaurant is designed to look like an abandoned house, but it’s way more than meets the eye. Every room is a history lesson in Black excellence—whether it’s art, sports, literature, health, or beyond. THE BANDO is a Black mecca of creativity, a space where culture and legacy collide.
And yeah, the food’s fire, but THE BANDO is more than wings and fries (though trust us, our wings slap). It’s a place where stories are told, dreams are built, and the community comes first. From feeding the homeless to mentoring young Black men and creating opportunities for the overlooked, we’re here to make a real impact.
THE BANDO isn’t just a restaurant—it’s the culture. It’s a reminder that Black history is alive, thriving, and dope AF.

The Bando Gives Back

Beyond
The Kitchen

At THE BANDO, our mission goes beyond serving food—it’s about uplifting the community. From feeding the homeless and mentoring young men to offering discounted meals, we’re here to make a real impact.

With a goal to serve 10,000 meals before January 2026, we are driven to create change through every plate we serve. For us, it’s not just about what’s on the plate—it’s about what we bring to the table.
